Ed Miliband MP, the leader of the Labour Party, reshuffled his cabinet today (after the resignation of Alan Johnson MP as Shadow Chancellor) and appointed Douglas Alexander MP as the new Shadow Foreign Secretary.
Under the last Labour government, Douglas Alexander MP, held the post of Secretary of State for International Development between 2007-2010. He is MP for the Paisley and Renfrewshire South constituency in Scotland.
The Labour Friends of Palestine & the Middle East (LFPME) welcomes his appointment and looks forward to working with him to push for justice and peace in the Middle East.
